ArborTrek Smugglers' Notch offers eco-adventures ranging from the serene to the extreme.  Our zip line canopy tour is fully-guided and combines the thrill of high-speed zip lines with stunning views of the region and commentary on the local ecology, natural history, and lore of the area.  Our new treetop obstacle course and climbing programs, on the other hand, are designed for those who want to get physical and include the opportunity to slide, balance, jump, crawl, climb, dash, and swing through the trees on more than 40 elements.


Smugglers Notch / Stowe, Vermont Zip Line Canopy Tour

Soar through the forests and explore the wilds of the Green Mountains of Vermont as you ride up to 4,500 feet of zip lines, cross sky bridges high above the forest floor, and rappel from trees.  Nestled in the scenic valley below Smugglers' Notch and following an ever-babbling mountain stream, the zip line canopy tour provides access to reaches of the forest canopy and views of the area not otherwise available to hikers and explorers.  Designed to educate, entertain, and inspire, small groups are escorted by two experienced zip line canopy tour guides familiar with the local ecology and natural history and prepared to provide instruction, coaching, and entertainment.  While the long zip lines and stunning views are certain to thrill even the most experienced outdoor enthusiast, the zip line canopy tour is built with a progression aimed to prepare and delight first-time zip liners.


Smugglers Notch / Stowe, Vermont Treetop Obstacle Course and Aerial Trekking Course

Slide, balance, jump, crawl, climb, dash, swing and stroll through the trees.  The Aerial Trekking Course is designed with adventure trekkers in mind.  The semi-guided adventure combines the thrill of being high above the ground with physical challenges.  The aerial trekking course consists of 40+ elements and the opportunity to climb our rock wall.  Following completion of a ground school, participants are provided the opportunity to explore a variety of different course areas rate easy to very challenging.

Stowe Vermont Teambuilding and Corporate Events

This isn't your run-of-the-mill teambuilding program. To be highly effective, teams need to practice. That's just want our adventure teambuilding sessions are designed to do... Complete a series of ground-based obstacles that present physical, mental, and emotional challenges that invite groups to explore teamwork strategies and demonstrate for themselves the importance of planning, cooperation, and communications.  Programs can be tailored for skill development, assessment, or just pure recreation.

ArborTrek Smugglers' Notch is located at Smugglers' Notch Resort in Northern Vermont.  Situated on the northeast flank of Mount Mansfield, Vermont's highest peak, ArborTrek is centrally located to many of Northern Vermont's most popular attractions.  In addition to year-round ammenities and lodging at Smugglers' Notch Resort, Stowe, Vermont is located just 20 minutes to the south through historic and scenic Smugglers' Notch Pass.  Burlington, Vermont's largest city, is located 40 minutes to the west. 

Vermont's Green Mountains are central to the area and provide opportunities for hiking and climbing.  Scenery abounds here and outdoor activities are just out the door.  In the winter, combine your zip line canopy tour with skiing and riding at Smugglers' Notch Resort or Stowe Mountain Resort, snow mobiling, and sleigh rides.  Spring through Fall, combine your zip line canopy tour or aerial adventure tour with guided hikes up Mount Mansfield, mountain biking, off-road Segway tours, canoeing, mountain biking on the Stowe Bike Path, award-winning youth programming, swimming and water slides at Smugglers' Notch, or any of a number of arts and collector auto shows in the area.
