Experienced hikers and bikers are provided numerous access routes from easy to moderate hiking trails to challenging third-class scrambles and fifth-class climbs. Climbing adventures are available year-round in the Notch, ranging from long, multi-pitch ice climbs in the winter, to world-class bouldering and multi-pitch rock routes in the summer. Mountain bikers and road bikers will also find Stowe to be a great place to stay. More than 40 miles of single track are available for the moderate to experienced mountain-biker, while the paved, Stowe bike trail provides a leisurely ride for novices.
